Woke in the Word 2.0
August 13-20, 2022A Study of the 7 Churches of Revelation
It all began in 2020.
Four churches came together to conduct a unique and inspiring virtual evangelistic series. At the height of the pandemic, the series was hosted by the Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church and live-streamed worldwide on Youtube. The series was named Woke in the Word because along with sharing the three angels’ messages, social justice issues were highlighted through the preaching of the series’ speaker, Mathew Feeley.
About the Series
Woke in the Word 2.0 features speakers Mathew Feeley, Jayson Levy, and Andre Anderson.
It is 2.0 because it is new series that includes new church partners such as New Life, Bowmanville, Kendalwood, Kitchener, Waterloo, Simcoe, Six Nations, Shiloh and Kanata. It is 2.0 because it will be live in-person and live-streamed. It is 2.0 because this time the messages focus on Jesus’ messages to the Seven Churches. It is 2.0 because it is a new and improved version of communicating Christ’s Love to this dying world.
Woke in the Word 2.0 will be hosted by the New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oshawa and live-streamed through Youtube from August 13-20, 2022. The program will run nightly at 7 pm and Saturday mornings at 11 am.
“Woke” is another way of saying enlightened. It’s about not being in the dark but knowing the real meaning. This applies to understanding the Word of God but more importantly understanding what God wants with us. We are being woke out of a sleep-state of inaction and status quo.
A study of the Seven Churches of Revelation and what it means for us today will help us understand practical principles.

Woke in the Word 2.0 brings together three pastors and nine Seventh-day Adventist Churches from across Ontario.
Pastor Jayson Levy
Pastor Andre Anderson
Pastor Mathew Feeley
Pastor Jayson Levy
Pastor Jayson Levy was born in the sunny island of Jamaica and migrated to Toronto, Canada, at age 10. The transition, though, was challenging and led to him distancing himself from the church. However, he found his way back to God through godly influences and realized that this world has nothing to offer.
A few years later he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion degree from Northern Caribbean University, he then began full-time ministry at the Ontario Conference. He now pastors the Kendalwood Seventh-day Adventist Church.
God has blessed him with a virtuous wife, Margeaux, who provides direction and clarity to his ministry. She is the love of his life and the blessed mother of their two children, Kaylon and Isabel.
